Graydon Smith says the investment shows how small towns across Parry Sound–Muskoka can benefit from provincial support.
Parry Sound–Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith says new provincial funding will help strengthen the Township of McKellar.
The province is investing more than $360,000 through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to build a new baseball diamond and convert St. Stephen’s Church into a museum and community centre.
Smith says the projects will give residents new spaces to gather, stay active and celebrate local heritage.
About $200,000 is going toward the new ball field, while $161,000 will fund the church’s transformation into a cultural hub.
