The proposal is for a 1400 unit resort
The Muskoka Lakes Association is urging Gravenhurst Council and the Ontario government to reject a large-scale resort proposal on Lake Muskoka.
The Cliff Bay Muskoka project calls for nearly 1,400 units, hotels, villas, and restaurants, along with minimal setbacks and little environmental protection. MLA president Ken Pearce says the development would harm water quality, wildlife, and the natural character of the area.
The group is calling for scaled-back plans and tighter job guarantees. Residents can learn more or sign a petition at MLA.on.ca or SavetheBay.ca.
