The fund will be used to help attract new medical professionals and a new Unity Path
Huntsville now has a new way for residents and local businesses to support community initiatives. The Muskoka Community Foundation has launched the Huntsville Community Fund in partnership with the Town, starting with two projects: Healthcare Professional Attraction and Retention, and the Unity Path.
The healthcare project will help fund programs that improve access to local medical services, while the Unity Path will celebrate diversity with an inclusive pathway and signage honoring veterans, Indigenous, and LGBTQ2S+ communities.
Mayor Alcock says the fund offers residents a chance to keep donations local and make a lasting impact, while the Foundation highlights the ability to combine efforts to support meaningful programs.
