Jay McJanet was recently a superintendent with TLDSB
The Near North District School Board has named Jay MacJanet as its new Director of Education.
MacJanet, originally from Sault Ste. Marie, brings more than 26 years of experience in public education, including roles as teacher, principal, and most recently Superintendent with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
He says his focus will be on student achievement, well-being, and preparing learners for future success, emphasizing collaboration with staff, families, and the community.
