New Director of Education Jay MacJanet has reached out to parents
The Near North District School Board has a new Director of Education, Jay MacJanet, who is reaching out to families and communities.
MacJanet says his top priority is ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and able to succeed, and he emphasizes the importance of strong partnerships between schools, families, and community organizations.
He acknowledges past trust issues and pledges transparency, open communication, and thoughtful decision-making as the board works to improve learning environments.
MacJanet says he plans to meet with school councils and community members to hear concerns and ideas, keeping students at the centre of all decisions.
