Christian Perez knocked won by knockout in just 27 seconds
Huntsville’s Kyle Nelson suffered a quick defeat at UFC Edmonton on Saturday, losing by knockout just 27 seconds into his lightweight bout with Mexican fighter Cristian Perez.
Perez caught Nelson with a knee and a left hook before a flurry of punches forced the referee to stop the fight.
Nelson, a UFC veteran known as “The Monster,” was looking to rebound from a knockout loss earlier this year. The defeat leaves him with three losses in his last five fights.
In a message to supporters, Nelson thanked everyone for their support, saying he’s healthy, has no injuries, and is looking forward to spending time with his family.
