The new crossing lights were installed on Brunel Rd at Cora Street
Huntsville OPP are reminding drivers to watch for pedestrians near Huntsville High School on Brunel Road.
Overhead pedestrian crossing lights were installed at Brunel Road and Cora Street at the start of the school year, replacing the need for a crossing guard at that location.
Police say drivers must stop and yield to pedestrians crossing or about to cross, particularly before and after school and during lunch hour.
Pedestrians are also reminded to activate the crossing lights, where available, and wait until traffic has come to a complete stop before stepping onto the road.
