The new playground and splash pad will be ready for summer
Crews have broken ground at the Lake of Bays Community Centre as work begins on a new splash pad and playground in Baysville.
Township officials say the project, designed by Park N’ Water Ltd., puts a strong focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability—while staying within budget. The playground will include equipment for all age groups, and the splash pad will provide a safe way to cool off in the summer.
The $600,000 build is being funded by a $300,000 donation from the Babb family and another $300,000 from the township’s 2024 budget.
