43kg of fentanyl was seized
Ontario Provincial Police say they’ve made the largest fentanyl bust in their history.
Two major investigations — Project BIONIC and Project GOLDEN — led to the seizure of more than 43 kilograms of fentanyl, enough for over 400,000 street-level doses. The operations also turned up large stashes of cocaine, meth, heroin, and prescription pills.
The OPP says it's ramping up efforts to dismantle drug networks and stop the spread of lethal opioids across the province.
More arrests and charges are expected.
