The driver fled the scene on foot
Huntsville OPP are investigating after a pickup truck crashed through a guardrail on the Highway 11 northbound on-ramp from South Mary Lake Road. The call came in around 7:08 p.m. on November 24. Witnesses told police a man fled the scene on foot.
A short time later, officers responding to reports of a suspicious person found the truck’s owner and determined he was impaired.
Thirty-nine-year-old Ryan Hatton of Huntsville is charged with impaired driving, failing to remain at the scene, and failing to report an accident.
He’ll appear in court in January.
