Cardinal was known to frequent the Magnetawan area
Police have provided an update on a federal offender who had been on the run since October 9th and thought to visit the Magnetawan area.
Eric Richard Joseph Cardinal, serving a sentence for robbery, assault, theft, and multiple probation violations, was taken into custody by the Timmins Police Service. Authorities say Cardinal had been unlawfully at large but is now back in custody.
The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad thanked the public and media for their assistance in locating him.
