One person was taken to hospital
Bracebridge OPP have laid multiple charges following a violent incident at a Manitoba Street motel Wednesday night.
Police say they were called just before 10 p.m. on June 4 to reports of a loud disturbance. Two people were injured, including one who was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers later arrested 31-year-old Douglas Sweeney several streets away. He faces several charges, including robbery with violence, aggravated assault, and break and enter.
Sweeney remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on June 9.
