The man faces a list of charges including kidnapping
A seventh person has been charged in connection with a violent home invasion in Hillside, as police continue to search for more suspects and a stolen vehicle.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to an armed home invasion in the Hillside area early on July 1st, prompting highway closures and a hold-and-secure order. The investigation has since expanded beyond the original scene.
Police say 25-year-old Syrus Hamilton of Toronto was arrested December 17 and is facing multiple charges, including robbery with a firearm, kidnapping, forcible confinement, and motor vehicle theft. He remains in custody ahead of a bail hearing in Bracebridge.
Investigators warn other suspects may still be armed and dangerous and are asking the public to watch for a stolen silver Honda CR-V. Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
