Police advise that you check the road and weather conditions before travelling
OPP in Central Ontario say they’re continuing to respond to emergencies and help stranded drivers as severe winter weather moves through the region.
With heavy snow and dangerous road conditions, OPP snowmobiles have been deployed to reach areas patrol vehicles can’t access, operating day and night.
Motorists are being urged to avoid unnecessary travel, monitor weather updates, and carry emergency supplies.
Police also warn that driving on closed roads is illegal and could result in fines. Drivers are encouraged to check road conditions before heading out.
