Bracebridge OPP is searching for two suspects who fled a RIDE checkpoint last Tuesday night.
Police say that at around 11 p.m. officers stopped a black Cadillac Escalade on Ecclestone Drive, but the driver sped off toward town.
Police later found the vehicle abandoned near Wellington Street and Monck Road, arresting one occupant and seizing multiple firearms and ammunition.
23-year-old Claudia Sumner of Winnipeg faces several firearm-related charges and remains in custody.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Samuel McKay, and a second unidentified suspect are still at large.
Police urge residents in the Wellington Street and Balls Drive area to check security footage from late Tuesday night.
