Hydro One says it’s dealing with Ontario’s most devastating storm since 1998
Hydro One says it’s dealing with Ontario’s most devastating storm since 1998 — and Muskoka was hit hard. In Bracebridge, nearly 30,000 customers have had their power restored, but over 13,000 remain in the dark. Gravenhurst and the surrounding area also saw widespread outages.
Crews in Huntsville have nearly completed restoration, with just a handful of customers still offline. High winds, freezing rain and heavy fog have made the work difficult, but better weather has allowed helicopters to resume.
Hydro One says most power should be back on by the weekend, though remote locations could take longer.
