The South Wing was renamed after donors, the Christodoulou family
The Huntsville District Memorial Hospital is renaming its South Wing in honour of a generous local family. It will now be known as the Christodoulou Family Rehabilitation & Reactivation Unit.
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation say the unit plays a vital role in helping patients regain strength and independence—especially those recovering from strokes. The unit also reduces the need to send patients to Toronto or North Bay for rehab services.
The Christodoulou family, who have deep ties to Huntsville and a cottage on Peninsula Lake, made a major donation supporting the area’s first MRI machine.
