Suspect arrested after tips from the public

52-year-old arrested after robbing Circle K store

Huntsville OPP say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a robbery earlier this week at the Circle K gas station on Hanes Road.

Thanks to tips from the community, 52-year-old Donald Carpenter of Huntsville has been charged with robbery with theft.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, when a man reportedly demanded cash and fled in a waiting vehicle. There were no injuries.

Carpenter is scheduled to appear in court May 27 in Bracebridge.

The investigation is still ongoing.
