The event helps the YWCA provide services to area women and girls
In Muskoka, a golf tournament brought women together for a good cause.
On September 10, sixty-three permanent and seasonal residents gathered at North Granite Ridge Golf Club for the first-ever “Swing for Your Sisters” event in support of YWCA Muskoka.
The day raised $27,000 to help fund more than a dozen local programs for women, youth, and families across the region.
Organizers say the YWCA does not receive ongoing government funding and must raise nearly a million dollars each year.
The golf event will return next fall.
