The Babb Family playground is now open
Families in Lake of Bays will have to wait a little longer for the new Babb Family Splash Pad to open, but township officials say the delay is for a good reason. After residents suggested environmental upgrades, the design was changed to include a water recirculation system and reservoir tank. That means the splash pad will reuse water instead of drawing from the river, with reclaimed water available for landscaping and fire department training. Construction is nearly complete, and staff hope the splash pad will open later this season.
