Students must update their immunization records with the health unit by September 23 or face suspension
High school students in Simcoe Muskoka could face suspension later this month if their vaccination records aren’t updated.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says about 3,700 Grade 11 and 12 students still have incomplete records. Under Ontario law, public health units must have proof of immunization, a medical exemption, or a signed affidavit on file.
Families are being urged to update records before the September 23 deadline. Without it, suspension notices already issued will take effect.
