The three were fined in connection with deer hunting violations
Three hunters have been fined a total of $4,250 for deer hunting violations.
A hunter from Bracebridge was fined $2,500 and received a one-year hunting suspension for shooting a deer without a licence and attempting to buy one afterward.
Another Bracebridge resident was fined $750 for using someone else’s licence, while a hunter from Utterson was fined $1,000 for unlawfully invalidating a deer tag.
The offences happened last fall near Utterson, and crossbows and rifles were seized. The case was heard in Bracebridge earlier this year.
