Both drivers were arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday
The Almaguin Highlands OPP arrested two impaired drivers within minutes of each other early Sunday morning.
Police say that at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 518 West in Mcmurrich-Monteith. The 40-year-old driver faces multiple charges including impaired driving, driving while suspended, and operating a vehicle without insurance.
Just minutes later, officers pulled over another vehicle on Highway 11 in Laurier Township. A 39-year-old driver from Cochrane, was arrested for impaired driving by drug and refusing to comply with testing.
Both drivers face court in Sundridge on June 12. The OPP reminds the public to call 911 to report suspected impaired drivers.
