Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has confirms new measles case in unvaccinated resident
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has confirmed a new measles case in an unvaccinated resident. This is unrelated to the March 19th case that led to three infections.
The health unit says anyone who visited the Royal Victoria Health Centre’s emergency department on March 30th between 6:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. may have been exposed.
Officials urge residents to check their vaccination status, watch for symptoms, and isolate if they become ill. More details are available at smdhu.org/measles.
