2,000 wellness checks have been completed across affected communities
Ontario officials say over 2,000 wellness checks have been completed across affected communities, including Muskoka, in the days following last week's storm.
Emergency Preparedness Minister Jill Dunlop says teams were deployed early, going door-to-door to ensure residents were safe and had what they needed. In addition to wellness visits, more than 500 meals have been delivered, over 100 hygiene kits distributed, and hundreds have used local warming centres and evacuation sites.
Dunlop says the coordinated effort reflects a strong provincial and community response.
