Nominations are now open for a milestone event celebrating women making a difference across Muskoka.
YWCA Muskoka has launched nominations and ticket sales for its 20th Women of Distinction Awards Gala, an annual fundraiser supporting programs that address gender-based violence, housing, childcare and economic security.
The awards recognize local women in seven categories, including a new Skilled Trades honour. Nominations close February 12, with recipients announced in March and celebrated at a gala April 2 at Deerhurst Resort.
Proceeds from the event help fund YWCA Muskoka services for women, youth and families throughout the region.
