Cara Henry and Trevor Marshall opened The Record Shoppe on November 5, 2018, on Main St E in the heart of downtown Hunstville. Originally from Toronto, the couple have been feeling the love and support from the vinyl community since day one.
Known for its reputation of supporting the arts, Cara and Trevor felt Huntsville was the perfect four-season destination and a natural spot to open up an independent new/used vinyl store.
Before moving to Huntsville in August 2018, Cara spent the majority of her career as an Events Manager for SkyDome/Rogers Centre, managing some of the largest stadium tours and public ticketed events hosted by the venue.
Trevor has been an avid lover of music for more than 40 years and brings with him a vast knowledge of music production and engineering. With over 20 years of experience producing his own records and teaching Recorded Music Production, Trevor has become a highly regarded specialist in the industry.
The pair focuses on providing great customer service, in-store and online, and eagerly takes on the search for special orders for new and used/rare albums.
Supporting and being a part of the local music community is an important aspect of their overall business objective. By creating a space for local artists to sell their vinyl and event tickets, the pair has quickly connected with the community.
