The Bay Food Crew helped stock a brand new food bank
The Bay Food Crew helped stock a brand new food bank in Huntsville with over 9 skids of food. Lynne Doyle and Paula Brinda, two retirees passionate about giving back, have opened a new food bank in Huntsville called The Corner Lighthouse. After recognizing the growing need for food assistance in the area, the duo teamed up with The Bay Food Crew and Bullock’s Your Independent Grocer to make it happen.
Located in the lower level of Trinity United Church, the food bank is volunteer-run and operates by appointment to ensure minimal wait times. In addition to food assistance, a new Community Hub will provide free support services like therapy, dental care, and job interview outfits.
