MP Aitchison made his comments after the federal government released its spring economic forecast
Parry Sound–Muskoka MP Scott Aitchison is reacting to the federal spring economic update, saying there are some signs of progress but Canadians are still under financial strain.
He says affordability remains a major concern, especially in housing, where costs are still out of reach for many despite some recent easing.
Aitchison also raised concerns about continued large deficits and rising debt-servicing costs, saying Ottawa needs to focus more on reducing spending, building homes, and restoring fiscal discipline.
