Engineers are continuing t0 assess the situation linked to recent work in the facility
The Township of Lake of Bays says the Community Centre, Arena and Library in Baysville will remain closed as engineers continue assessing a ground issue linked to recent heating and cooling system work.
Officials say the visible impacts are mainly limited to the parking lot and a small maintenance room area attached to the building.
The Township says the full closure was made out of caution, with safety remaining the top priority. All programs at the arena, community centre and library are cancelled until further notice, and public water taps and the LED sign are also out of service.
Residents are being asked to stay clear of fenced and restricted areas while inspections continue. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
