The sportsplex and MLCC are available during regular operating hours
The Town of Bracebridge is opening its recreation facilities as warming stations as the coldest air of the season moves into the region.
Environment Canada is forecasting dangerously cold wind chills this weekend, with the extreme cold expected to last into next week.
Residents needing relief from the cold can visit the Bracebridge Sportsplex on Clearbrook Trail and the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre on Salmon Avenue during regular operating hours.
Town officials encourage anyone vulnerable to the cold to take advantage of the facilities and limit time outdoors during extreme conditions.
