Patrons stepped up to help seniors and Manna Food Bank
The 5th annual Santa for Seniors program brought the holiday spirit to Bracebridge once again.
In partnership with local hospitals, retirement homes, and care facilities, seniors wrote anonymous wish lists that were placed on a library Christmas tree for patrons to fulfill. When the lists were gone, they were replaced with tags for items needed by the Manna Food Bank, resulting in 90 boxes and bags of donations, including food, treats, and pet toys.
Library officials say patrons eagerly grabbed the wish lists and even purchased extra gifts, demonstrating the community’s generosity this holiday season.
