The incident happened near North Bay
A Bracebridge man was charged with careless driving after his vehicle went down an embankment on Highway 11 in East Ferris.
North Bay police responded around 10 p.m. on March 18. Officers determined the 29-year-old driver had consumed alcohol, and a roadside screening device returned an “Alert.”
He received a seven-day licence suspension and must complete an eight-hour education course, along with a $250 fine. No serious injuries were reported. Police remind drivers that any alcohol or drug use behind the wheel is unsafe.
