The building's roof design is causing massive amount of snow to fall onto walkways
Hospice Muskoka’s request for funding to improve safety at Andy’s House in Port Carling has been turned down by the District of Muskoka’s Health Services Committee.
The group had asked for $186,000 to redesign the facility’s outdoor area, which sees dangerous snow buildup each winter. But the proposal was deemed to have limited alignment with the District’s strategic priorities.
Without other funding sources and with key details missing, staff recommended the request be denied. Final approval now rests with District Council.
