The driver abandoned the vehicle in a tennis court

A woman is facing several charges after crashing a vehicle onto a tennis court in Muskoka Lakes Township.

It happened the morning of May 17 on Golf Avenue Road, when a car left the roadway, broke through a fence, and came to rest on the tennis court, causing heavy damage.

The driver fled the scene but was later identified.

Police have charged 32-year-old Amber Finnegan with dangerous driving, mischief over $5,000, and failing to remain. She’ll appear in Bracebridge court July 8.
