No daytime burning is allowed
The fire danger rating in Muskoka has been raised to high as dry weather and little rainfall increase the risk of wildfires. Residents are reminded that while small fires are still allowed in rural areas, no daytime burning is permitted.
Fire Depts. say that you should keep water and tools nearby, and never leave a fire unattended.
The rating is based on the Fire Weather Index, which factors in weather conditions and forest fuel loads.
