Smoke and steam were coming from a vented boiler in the building
Firefighters responded early Wednesday to a reported structure fire on Fair-Lee Park Road in Minett.
Crews from Minett, Port Carling, and Foots Bay arrived around 4 a.m. and found steam and smoke from a vented boiler, not an actual fire.
Using gas monitors and thermal cameras, firefighters confirmed the building was safe, ventilated it, and returned it to the occupants by 5:30 a.m. No one was injured, and damages are estimated at six thousand dollars.
