Georgian College will shut down its Bracebridge campus in August 2026, moving programs to Barrie
Georgian College says its Muskoka campus in Bracebridge will close in August 2026, with all programs and apprenticeship offerings shifting to the Barrie campus.
The college says the move follows a review of enrolment, labour-market trends, community impact, and financial realities, and it promises no impact on students’ graduation timelines.
But Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney calls the closure a major blow, saying the campus provided affordable education in high-demand fields like trades and health care.
He says the town will work with community partners to ensure the building remains a valuable local asset.
