Georgian College says its Muskoka campus in Bracebridge will close in August 2026, with all programs and apprenticeship offerings shifting to the Barrie campus.
The college says the move follows a review of enrolment, labour-market trends, community impact, and financial realities, and it promises no impact on students’ graduation timelines.
But Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney calls the closure a major blow, saying the campus provided affordable education in high-demand fields like trades and health care.
He says the town will work with community partners to ensure the building remains a valuable local asset.
