The grant will help the organization finish accessibility upgrades
Huntsville Curling Club has received a $200,000 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to complete the final phase of renovations for full accessibility.
The funding will allow the club to rebuild accessible washrooms and change rooms, finishing a multi-year plan that already added a lift and fully accessible main entrance. Officials say these upgrades will ensure people of all ages and abilities can safely enjoy curling and community programs.
MPP Graydon Smith highlighted the importance of making recreational facilities accessible to all, while club leaders called the grant transformative for completing their accessibility goals.
