This funding is the final installment for the new MRI and other vital equipment including mammography, infant security, and central patient monitoring systems
Local healthcare in Huntsville got a significant financial boost.
The Huntsville Hospital Foundation has presented Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare with more than $1.1 million, including the final contribution toward the hospital’s MRI unit.
Since opening last June, that MRI has already completed more than 23 hundred scans, improving access to diagnostic care close to home.
The funding will also support new equipment across the hospital, as officials credit community donors for helping strengthen healthcare services across the region.
