The man's charges relate to two incidents in the downtown core in Huntsville
Huntsville OPP have charged a 37-year-old local man following a pair of shoplifting incidents on Main Street.
Police say the thefts happened February 5th and 9th. After reviewing surveillance video and speaking with witnesses, officers identified the suspect.
Robert Merkel of Huntsville is charged with two counts of theft under five-thousand dollars and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He’s scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court at a later date.
