The information session will be held on April 16th at the Bracebridge sportsplex
Muskoka area residents are being invited by Hydro One to learn about a new priority transmission line connecting Sudbury and Barrie.
The project will see a 500-kilovolt line spanning roughly 300 kilometres, linking the Hanmer and Essa transformer stations. Officials say the line, expected to be operational by 2032, will create more than 9,000 jobs and help meet northern Ontario’s growing energy needs.
Community open houses are scheduled for April 16 at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, and a virtual session will take place on April 21.
