The locks bridge and other roadways will be closed to traffic
Huntsville drivers should expect significant road disruptions this weekend as the Ironman 70.3 Muskoka event takes over parts of the town on Sunday.
The Town of Huntsville says Brunel Locks Bridge will be fully closed to vehicles from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. due to both the race and ongoing construction. Sections of Brunel Road will be restricted to local traffic only, while several other roads, including Park Drive and Camp Kitchen Road, will also see full closures at various times throughout the day.
Police will be directing traffic, and officials are reminding residents that parking restrictions will be in effect across multiple streets starting just after midnight on race day.
Organizers say pedestrian access will remain on the bridge and emergency vehicles will still be able to pass.
