Terry Glover took to social media to announce that he is stepping down at the end of this term
Lake of Bays Mayor Terry Glover says he will not seek re-election in the 2026 municipal vote. In a statement released online, Glover says he made the decision after discussions with his family, calling it time for “fresh, new ideas” and a new chapter for the township.
Glover has served as mayor for seven and a half years, following eight years as a ward councillor, and says he is proud of his record, community work, and relationships built with residents, businesses, and Indigenous partners. He thanked supporters and said it has been a “wonderful growth opportunity.”
