The arena floor has re-opened for programming
The Township of Lake of Bays says the arena floor at the Lake of Bays Community Centre has now reopened following engineering inspections and ongoing monitoring.
Officials say a recent visual assessment completed on May 26 confirmed the arena surface is safe for use, allowing indoor programming that had been paused to resume.
The reopening includes the arena floor, second-floor community spaces and the Lake of Bays Public Library.
However, parts of the exterior parking area remain closed while geothermal work and repairs continue.
The township says a full report will be brought to council once technical work and repairs are complete, with further updates expected as the project progresses.
