The MAHC is working with Granite Ridge Retirement Residence in Gravenhurst
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is partnering with Granite Ridge Retirement Residence in Gravenhurst to add five new transitional care beds.
The MAHC says the beds will support patients who no longer need hospital care but still require time and assistance to regain strength before returning home or moving to another care setting.
Hospital officials say the move will help reduce pressure on acute care beds and improve patient flow. The transitional beds were previously located at Hospice Muskoka, which will continue working closely with MAHC on palliative and end-of-life care services.
