The event featured the work of the Hoyas team and funds raised will help with their next build
A special movie screening in Huntsville has raised more than $3,000 for the Huntsville High School Hoya Robotics team.
Reel Alternatives says its fundraising presentation of Disney-Pixar's WALL·E at the Algonquin Theatre generated $3,350 through ticket sales and community sponsorships.
The money will help support the award-winning robotics team as it designs and builds its next competition robot.
Organizers say the event drew strong community support, with families, students and local residents coming together to celebrate innovation and student achievement.
Hoya Robotics team members were also on hand to showcase their work and meet attendees.
