The new system could give drivers more notice to move over
Muskoka Paramedic Services is rolling out a new digital alert system aimed at giving drivers earlier warning when ambulances are responding to emergencies.
In partnership with safety technology firms, the system sends notifications through compatible vehicle infotainment systems and navigation apps like Waze, offering up to a minute of advance notice.
Officials say the goal is to improve road safety, reduce reaction time risks, and help paramedics reach patients more efficiently while reminding drivers to continue following Move Over laws.
