16 large scale painting will be unveiled during the event
A new outdoor art exhibit celebrating Muskoka’s steamship history will be unveiled later this month.
The Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre is hosting a community celebration March 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Muskoka Discovery Centre.
The event will reveal 16 large-scale paintings that highlight the evolution of tourism in Muskoka, beginning with the launch of the steamship Wenonah in 1866.
The artwork, created by local artists, will be installed on the exterior of the Heritage Boatworks’ building at Muskoka Wharf, allowing visitors to follow key moments in the region’s history.
The free event will include live entertainment, refreshments, tours of the Discovery Centre and family activities.
