Raynor wants to encourage more light industry and control residential development
Norm Raynor is officially in the race for mayor of Bracebridge, with healthcare, taxes and economic development among his priorities.
Raynor, a longtime Bracebridge resident and former Hydro forestry manager, says he would push for the best possible hospital services locally, while looking for ways to control municipal spending and limit tax increases.
He also wants more light industry and jobs, controlled residential development and greater transparency at town hall. Raynor says he opposes closed-door council meetings.
He joins incumbent Rick Maloney in the mayoral race. The deadline to file nominations is Friday.
